The method of installing the pipeline of the self suction sewage pump

2024-03-16

The installation method of pipeline for self priming sewage pump is one of the commonly used equipment for self priming sewage pump. Its principle is to use the flow velocity and impulse of water, and the impeller drives the pump impeller to pump water up. Therefore, the installation of pipeline for self priming sewage pump is very important. Today, we will talk about the following points to pay attention to when installing pipeline for self priming sewage pump.

Each self priming sewage pump needs to have a valve installed on its outlet pipe. When two or more sewage pumps share the same outlet pipe, a check valve needs to be installed between the pump and the valve. If the water pump adopts a separate outlet pipe and is free flowing, a check valve can be omitted. Therefore, the valve should be installed in the horizontal section as much as possible to prevent dirt from settling on the valve disc. In situations where the water outlet is too high vertically upwards, a check valve needs to be installed to avoid the impact of shutdown backflow on the check valve and impeller.

The design flow rate of the suction pipe is generally 1.0-1.5m/s. In order to facilitate the discharge of air inside the suction pipe, the horizontal part of the suction pipe should be slightly raised along the direction of the water flow.

The self priming sewage pump should be equipped with a separate suction pipeline and strive for the shortest length to improve hydraulic conditions, reduce head loss, and reduce the possibility of debris blockage. When calculating the flow rate with a suction head that is too high or too far, flow loss needs to be considered. The SP series self-priming sewage pump has good self-priming performance and anti clogging performance.
