How to improve the suction speed of self priming sewage pump

2024-01-12

The self suction sewage pump can improve the suction speed from the following aspects:

Install the suction bottom valve:

Install a bottom valve with good sealing performance at the bottom of the water tank in the inlet pipeline of the self suction sewage pump. In this way, when the pump runs for the first time and draws water, a certain amount of water storage will be maintained in the pipeline. In the next startup, the pump does not need to draw air from the pipeline, thereby accelerating the self suction process and water absorption speed.

Configure a water ring vacuum pump:

Install a water ring vacuum pump on the inlet pipeline of the self suction sewage pump. A vacuum pump can quickly extract air from the pipeline, forming a negative pressure state, greatly reducing the time required for the self suction sewage pump to establish a suction head and significantly improving its suction speed.

Ensure good sealing:

Check and maintain the sealing of the pump body in contact with the liquid, including but not limited to replacing damaged or aged sealing rings, gaskets, and other components, and ensure that the connection between the pump and pipeline is tight and free of air leakage. Good sealing helps to reduce air entry into the pump body and enhance the self suction effect.

Set up suction tank:

A suction tank can be installed in front of the self priming sewage pump, filled with water in advance, so that existing water can be directly drawn from the tank when the pump starts, reducing the self priming time. Especially for situations that require frequent start-up, the suction tank can provide a stable water source.

Reasonably design the suction pipeline:

Ensure that the suction pipeline is as short and straight as possible, avoiding excessive bending and lifting, as this increases the possibility of air accumulation and reduces suction efficiency.

Check and clean the inlet pipe:

Regularly clean the inside of the inlet pipe to prevent debris from blocking and affecting the water flow speed.

By using the above methods, the suction speed and suction capacity of the self priming sewage pump can be effectively improved
